Electric car closer to market than expected.
I thought this was pretty neat. I really like the $0.02 per mile vs. $0.10 per mile statistics. They don't say how long charging takes, which could be an issue, and they also claim that the 100 miles is at highway speed. Since most cars are most efficient at highway speed (electrics may not) then it may get less in the city, but in the city you can charge overnight more easily. $25K to $40K also is not cheap (I assume full electric is closer to $40K). It may be "affordable", but it's not about get very high market penetration at those prices. It's a good step forward, though.
